Refuge is the place where we find peace. A place of the soul where there are the things left unsaid, the thoughts never confessed, the gestures we should have done and didn’t do. A place without judgement, remorse or regrets. A place of silence where there is shade. I imagine it like this, at night, a white beach, a pale moon. Pieces of us around and – who knows? – the journey we would have liked to take but didn’t.
