In creating this work, I delved into the depths of emotional and physical cold. Using oil, I created an explosion of blues and blacks, evoking the chill of a winter day squared by a cutting wind. The erratic lines suggest whipping movements of frigid air, while the solitary silhouette of a bare tree emerges as a resilient witness to the changing seasons. This canvas is a stark expression of the isolation but also the indomitable hope that permeates stormy skies.
